Charlie practiced law at the Bowling Green firm of Cole & Moore for 7 years (2001-2008). After leaving Cole & Moore to become the Interim Pastor at Franklin Presbyterian Church from 2009-2010, he then opened his own law office (Evans Law Office) from 2010-2012 until reentering full-time ministry.
While in active practice, Charlie focused on the areas of real estate and business transactions. In 2007, the readers of the Bowling Green Daily News voted Charlie as the best attorney in Bowling Green.
