Life Behind the Counter-the Story of Chuck Evans and His Liquor Stores is complete. I’m currently finishing my second review of the manuscript and will read it a third time next week before sending it to the proofreader.
The book checks in at over 70,000 words, which should roughly equal 270 pages in book form. The book has a total of 37 Chapters and I will preview each chapter over these next few weeks. Even with 70,000 works, I left out many stories and people that I initially included.
The book begins with a Foreward by Robert Evans. Robert sets up the book with a neat story about some horse racing advice from Chuck during a day at the track. I appreciate Robert writing the Foreward to this book. I’ll post the preview of Chapter 1 next post.
