Chapter Two is one of the shortest chapters of the book because I have so little memory or knowledge about the subject. This chapter centers around Chuck’s first liquor store, a small brick building that he started with his dad in the early 1970’s. Here’s some highlights from the Chapter:
- This store was located at 128 State Street in Bowling Green. It was a really small store. I bet the entire store would fit inside the walk-in cooler at Chuck’s on Louisville Road.
- Chuck and Maxie were not at this store long, relocating to a better location just a few steps away.
- This building still exists. I think it is the home of Phil Brown Construction. Sometime in the past, someone added on to the small brick building.
This Chapter is a brief one since Chuck’s stay at 128 State Street was brief. In the next Chapter, we’ll get into some real action. I’ll preview Chapter 3 this weekend. Thanks for following along!
